Palm ImplementationPalm implementationHandy ShopperHere is a GTD template for memos and ToDos that may be a good place to get started. It is basic and pretty simple. If you have set up your own GTD system, I wouldn’t recommend it. But it is a good place to start if you haven’t. It’s only 4.99.
folder. There are 3 files, to be used as examples of how to use HandyShopper for GTD. kstodo & ksagendaAfter frustrating experiments with lots of Palm/PC applications, I found a simple solution that has changed my life. It’s based on the way David Allen does it himself on the Palm - see his description at http://www.davidco.com/tips_tools/tip43.html. My implementation combines Allen’s pure Palm method with Outlook, but it would also work well on the Palm alone. I’ve also found that the best simple Palm software for managing tasks is KStodo (free) which I combine with KSdatebook (also free). The Outlook screen I use is Tasks, using the ‘View/Current View/By Category’ view setting. Implementation was very simple. I now use a set of categories that is slightly different from Allen’s (@Agenda, @Errands, @Home, @Office, @Salescalls, @WaitingFor, Projects, and Sometime/Maybe), because those are the ones that work for me. You can experiment to find the categories that work best for you. I also use ThoughtManager for lists and outlining, which works well on both the PC and the Palm. Allen’s site also has a great outline for the weekly review, at http://www.davidco.com/tips_tools/tip16.html. Autre
